Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition Off
  2. Install the special tool: CH-48027  Digital Pressure Gauge & CH-37287 - 1A  Fuel Pressure Gauge Adaptor
  3. Ignition On - Engine Off
  4. Perform the scan tool control function: Fuel Pump Enable Command=OnCommand the function On several times.
  5. Verify the scan tool parameter: Fuel Pressure Sensor= 320 to 608 kPa (46 to 88 PSI)
    • If between 320 and 608 kPa (46 and 88 PSI)
  6. Verify the following parameters are within 34 kPa (5 PSI) of each other:
    • Fuel Pressure Sensor
    • CH-48027  Digital Pressure Gauge
    • If not within 34 kPa (5 PSI) of each other
    1. Inspect the fuel system for damage or external leaks before proceeding.
      • If a condition exists - Repair or replace as necessary
      • If no condition exists
    2. Inspect the electrical connectors and the ground circuits of the component for poor connections.
      • If a condition exists - Repair or replace as necessary
      • If no condition exists - Replace the component: B47 Fuel Pressure Sensor
    • If within 34 kPa (5 PSI) of each other
  7. All OK. - Clear All Vehicle DTCs
