Preliminary Procedures Intake Manifold Cover Replacement Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
1	Vacuum Pump Fastener [3x] CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Vacuum Pump Procedure Inspect the vacuum pump seal and replace as necessary. Before installation, lubricate the vacuum pump seal with clean engine oil. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants and Sealers NOTE: If replacing the vacuum pump, turn the NEW vacuum pump shaft to match the position of the OLD vacuum pump shaft to allow proper alignment with the engine camshaft.
3	Vacuum Pump Gasket Procedure Inspect the vacuum pump gasket and replace as necessary.
