Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Reposition both floor jacks and blocks of wood in order to allow a 1/8 inch gap between the mount and bracket.
  2. Shake the powertrain vigorously by hand from front to rear and allow the powertrain to settle.
  3. Tighten the engine mount to engine mount bracket bolts (1). Refer to Engine Mount Replacement

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Tighten the transmission mount transmission side bolts (3) at the transmission mount (5). Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement (Left Side)

    NOTE: Transmission mount bolts (4) should remain tightened during the balancing procedure.
  5. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  6. Tighten the transmission rear mount bolt (1) at the transmission rear mount (5). Refer to Transmission Rear Mount Replacement

  7. Remove the jack stands and wood blocks supporting the engine and transaxle from underneath the powertrain.
  8. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
