Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve and Tube Assembly

Preliminary Procedure Inspect all positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) components prior to removal. Do not remove the PCV components unless a diagnostic or inspection procedure indicates replacement is necessary. NOTE: These components have tamper-proof connections and cannot be disassembled. Complete all camshaft cover inspections prior to inspecting or removing PCV components. If inspection indicates the camshaft cover requires replacement, all PCV components will be replaced with the cover.
1	Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose Fastener CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 12 N.m (106 lb in)
2	Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve Bolt [2x] Procedure Using a suitable tool, cut a slot in the tamper-resistant PCV bolt head and remove with a flat blade screwdriver. Discard the bolt. Using EN-50956 bit, install NEW bolts with NEW PCV valves and PCV hose assembly. Tighten 10 N.m (89 lb in) Special Tools EN-50956 Tamper Proof Drive Bit Equivalent regional tools: Special Tools .
3	Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose Assembly and Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valves NOTE: The PCV valves and PCV tube assembly have tamper-proof connections and cannot be disassembled.
