Conditions for Setting the DTC

C0500, C0502, C0503, C0506, C0508, C0509, C050C, C050E, C050F, C0512, C0514, C0515
- An open or a high resistance is detected on a wheel speed sensor circuit.
- A short to ground or an open/high resistance is detected on a wheel speed sensor signal circuit.
- A short to voltage is detected on a wheel speed sensor signal circuit.
C0501, C0504, C0507, C050A, C050D, C0510, C0513, C0516
- The tone ring may be demagnetized
- Water intrusion in the wiring harness
- Incorrectly mounted wheel speed sensor
- Debris on the wheel speed sensor or the tone ring
- Missing tooth or teeth on the wheel speed sensor tone ring
- Air gap between the wheel speed sensor and the tone ring too large
- Electrical magnetic interference with the wheel speed sensor harness
