Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

The electronic brake control module activates the stability system depending on steering angle and multi-axis acceleration sensor input. When the traction control or stability control operation is required the EBCM turns the required solenoid valves ON.

The electronic brake control module receives high speed serial data inputs from the steering angle sensor and multi-axis sensor, that identify the position and direction of the steering wheel rotation as well as vehicle yaw and lateral movement. The electronic brake control module utilizes these signal to calculate the driver intended driving direction.

The steering wheel angle sensor is integrated into the steering gear assembly. The multi-axis sensor is located internally into the inflatable restraint and sensing diagnostic module.
