Circuit/System Description

The Instrument Cluster displays the fuel level based on the signal from the fuel level sensor. The Instrument Cluster converts the data from the fuel level sensor to a fuel level signal. When the fuel tank is full, the resistances of the fuel level sensor is low and the Instrument Cluster senses a low signal voltage on the signal circuit of the fuel level sensor. When the fuel tank is empty, the resistance of the fuel level sensor is high and the Instrument Cluster senses a high signal voltage. When the fuel level falls below approximately 10% the instrument cluster illuminates the low fuel level indicator.
