Diagnostic Aids
- DTC P0601 detects a non-volatile memory write error (ROM).
- DTC P0602 indicates that the transmission control module is not programed.
- DTC P0604 detects the wrong copy of non-volatile memory in RAM or a RAM read/write failure.
- DTC P0606 00 detects a processor performance failure.
- DTC P0606 37 detects a software malfunction.
- DTC P062F detects a corruption of the EPROM/Flash memory.
- DTC P064F detects an invalid calibration.
- Low voltage or a momentary loss of power or ground to the transfer case control module may cause a DTC to set. Verify the following:
- The battery cables are clean and tight, and the battery is fully charged. Refer to Battery Inspection/Test .
- The transfer case control module ground circuits do not have an open or high resistance.
- The transfer case control module power circuits do not have an open, short to ground, or high resistance.
