Circuit/System Verification

  1. Verify that all of the following scan tool parameters display OK.
    • Range Actuator Lock Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status
    • Range Actuator Lock Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status
    • Range Actuator Lock Control Circuit Open Test Status
    • If any of the parameters do NOT display OK 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If all of the parameters display OK 
  2. Using the transfer case Range Actuator Lock function of the Control Functions feature of the scan tool, command the transfer case range actuator lock ON and OFF. You should be able to hear the range actuator lock engage and disengage.
    • If you are unable to hear the range actuator lock engaging and disengaging 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If you are able to hear the range actuator lock engaging and disengaging 
  3. Verify DTC P0321 or P0326 is only set as a history DTC.
    • If any of the DTCs are set as current 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If any of the DTCs are only set as history 
  4. NOTE:

    After inspection, apply Nyogel lubricant 760G to each connector terminal. Ensure each connector and CPA is correctly seated.

  5. Visually inspect each connector terminal of the K69 transfer case control module X1 connector and the A16 transfer case motor connector for damage or corrosion. Repair as necessary.
  6. Clear DTC P0321 or P0326 from history.
  7. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data. The DTC should not set.
    • If any of the DTCs are set 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If none of the DTCs set 
  8. All OK.
