Engine Vibration/Shake at High Speeds (LKW)

Cause Correction
Rocker arm stuck in high. (Vibrates at cruise at constant speeds or when commanded into low lift.) Check intake rocker arm assembly to see if pin is stuck in extended position. Exercise rocker arm pins. Replace rocker arm if stuck. Refer to Intake Valve Rocker Arm Replacement (LKW) .
Low oil pressure into valve rocker arm oil control valve assembly or rocker arms. Check for oil passage obstructions. Refer to Camshaft Cover Cleaning and Inspection (LKW) .
Air bleed vent screen missing/oil passage obstruction. Perform the camshaft cover clean and inspect procedure. Refer to Camshaft Cover Cleaning and Inspection (LKW) .
Possible valve rocker arm oil control valve assembly malfunction. Replace the valve rocker arm oil control valve assembly. Refer to Camshaft Cover Cleaning and Inspection (LKW) .
Rocker arm stuck in low lift. (Vibrates at idle, park, neutral, 1st gear, 2nd gear and on acceleration when commanded into high lift.) Check intake rocker arm assembly to see if pin is stuck in depressed position. Replace rocker arm if stuck. Refer to Intake Valve Rocker Arm Replacement (LKW) .
Oil drip rail plugged. Replace camshaft cover assembly. Refer to Camshaft Cover Replacement (LKW) .
