Rear Side Door Adjustment

Align the front door to the front fender first, if needed. Refer to Front Side Door Adjustment
Loosen the door hinge to center pillar retaining bolts. This will allow adjustment of the rear door at the center pillar in the following directions:
- Up or down (a), 6.5 mm equal gap.
- Fore or aft (b), 3.5 mm equal gap.
- Up or down (c), 5 mm upwards.
Reposition the door as needed.

CAUTION:

Position the door fore or aft at the center pillar attachment. Perform the following steps as needed:
1. Loosen the bolts.
2. Reposition the door.
3. Tighten the bolts.
  Tighten
  
  Tighten the bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
Verify the rear doors are flush to within 3.5 mm, with a flushing magnet located in the striker area below the beltline.
If in or out adjustment is needed, loosen the door hinge to door retaining bolts.
Position the door in or out. Perform the following steps as needed:
1. Loosen the bolts.
2. Reposition the door.
3. Tighten the bolts.
  Tighten
  
  Tighten the bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
Align the door to the front door and rear quarter, if needed.
Position the door in or out. Perform the following steps as needed:
1. Loosen the bolts.
2. Reposition the door.
3. Tighten the bolts.
  Tighten
  
  Tighten the bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
Verify door header to door header at the center pillar is flush to within 3.5 mm. Adjust the door headers if necessary.
Verify all door gaps are within specifications.
Adjust the rear side door lock striker. Refer to Rear Side Door Lock Striker Replacement .
