Valve Head O.D. and Chamfer Measurement Procedure

  1. Measure the valve head O.D. and chamfer (a) using an appropriate scale. Refer to Engine Mechanical Specifications (LTG) and Engine Mechanical Specifications (LKW) .

  2. If the valve head O.D. and chamfer is within specification, test the valve (1) for seat concentricity using Valve-to-Seat Concentricity Measurement Procedure . Reinspect the valve head O.D. and chamfer after completing the concentricity measurement if valve seat reconditioning is performed.
