Installation Procedure
- Lubricate the threads and sealing surface of the NEW fuel rail pressure sensor with one drop of clean engine oil.
NOTE: Applying force to the plastic housing of the sensor may damage the sensor. To tighten or loosen, apply force only to the attached hexagon.NOTE: Ensure the fuel rail threads are clean and free of any excess fuel or the fuel rail pressure sensor will NOT seal properly.
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (2) @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (3) »Install the NEW fuel rail pressure sensor hand tight.NOTE: Install a NEW fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor.
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (2) @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (3) »Remove and re-lubricate with one drop of clean engine oil.
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (2) @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (3) »Install and tighten 33 N.m (24 lb ft)CAUTION: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .
- Electrical Connector (1)@ Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (2) »Connect
- Pressurize the fuel system and inspect for leaks.NOTE: If a fuel leak occurs at the fuel rail, the fuel rail will need to be replaced.
