Removal Procedure

Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Remove the transmission fluid cooler hose from the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose Replacement .
Insert the collet piece (2) of the DT45201 seal remover into the cooler pipe seal (3).

NOTE: Ensure that the DT-45201 seal remover is fully seated into the transmission seal bore.
Insert the forcing screw piece (1) of the DT-45201 seal remover into the collet (2).
Tighten the forcing screw (1) until snug.
Thread the collar piece (1) of the DT-45201 seal remover onto the collet (3) until snug.

Turn the collar clockwise in order to remove the cooler pipe seal (1).

Discard the seal (1).
Clean the case bores for the cooler pipe seals.
