Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716 Fill) and Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) .
  3. Drain the transmission fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill .
  4. Remove the transmission oil cooler hoses from the oil cooler fittings on the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (6T30-MH9 and 6T40-MH8)  and Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection (AF40-MDK) .
  5. Remove the oil cooler fitting (1) and the O-ring (2) from the radiator.

    NOTE: Do not remove the upper and lower transmission oil cooler fittings from the radiator at the same time otherwise the transmission oil cooler will fall inside the radiator end tank.
