Component Testing

  1. Ignition OFF. Disconnect the harness connector at the B88P seat belt switch-passenger. Buckle the B88P seat belt switch-passenger.
  2. Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit terminal 1 and the low reference terminal 2 at the B88P seat belt switch-passenger.
    • If there is not infinite resistance 

      Replace the B88P seat belt switch-passenger.

    • If there is infinite resistance 
  3. Unbuckle the B88P seat belt switch-passenger.
  4. Test for less than 1 Ω between the signal circuit terminal 1 and the low reference terminal 2 at the B88P seat belt switch-passenger.
    • If 1 Ω or greater 

      Replace the B88P seat belt switch-passenger.

    • If less than 1 Ω 
  5. All OK.
