Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  3. Remove the front bumper fascia opening lower cover. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Opening Lower Cover Replacement .
  4. Remove the air conditioning receiver and dehydrator plug (4).

  5. Remove and DISCARD the sealing washers (3).
    NOTE: Cap all air conditioning components immediately to prevent system contamination.
  6. Remove the air conditioning refrigerant desiccant (2) from the air conditioning condenser (1).
