Preliminary Procedures Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging . Remove the headlamp - right side. Refer to Headlamp Replacement . Remove the brake pipes from the dash lower extension panel. Remove engine mount. 1.4L LUV - Refer to Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side . 1.8L LUW and LWE - Refer to Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side .
1	Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Nut (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 19 N.m (14 lb ft)
2	Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Nut to Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Tighten 19 N.m (14 lb ft)
3	Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Procedure Unclip from body.
