Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Sensor 1

WARNING: In order to avoid being burned, do not service the exhaust system while it is still hot. Service the system when it is cool.
Preliminary Procedure Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
1 Heated Oxygen Sensor
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor wiring harness connector.
  2. Remove the heated oxygen sensor.
  3. When re-using the heated oxygen sensor, coat the thread with assembly paste.
  4. After replacement of the heated oxygen sensor, use a scan tool to speed up learn functions. Refer to K20 Engine Control Module: Programming and Setup (LUV, LUW or LWE) .

Tighten 
42 N.m (31 lb ft)
