Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement (Automatic Transmission)  and Crankshaft Balancer Replacement (Manual Transmission) .
  3. Remove the 4 lower timing belt cover bolts (2).

  4. Remove the lower timing belt cover (1).
