Removal Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Transmission Replacement »Remove
- Install DT-6115 holder (3) to DT-113-2-A holder (1).
- Secure with pin (2).
- Screw in grub screw (arrow).
- Install the transmission (1) to the DT-6115
holder (2).
NOTE: A second technician is required.
- Align and secure the transmission with the differential pointing to the rear.
- Tighten with 2 bolts.
- Remove and DISCARD the 16 transmission case bolts (1, 2).
NOTE: Mark the position of the single different bolt (2).
- Remove the transmission case (2). Lift the transmission case evenly with plastic levers (1, 3).
NOTE: Do NOT hit or knock transmission case.
- Back-up Lamp Switch (1) »Remove
- Clutch Actuator Cylinder Pipe Elbow Retainer (1) »Remove
- Clutch Actuator Cylinder Pipe Elbow (2) »Remove
- Shift the transmission into NEUTRAL.
- Shift Control Housing Bolt (1) »Remove [2x]
- Shift Control Housing (2) »Remove
- Shift Control Housing Seal (3) »Remove and DISCARD
- Remove the transmission magnet (1) from the clutch housing. Store it separately away from all the other transmission components.
NOTE: To prevent the transmission components becoming magnetized accidentally, they must not come in contact with the magnet.
- Remove the shift shafts (1, 2).
NOTE: Place the components on clean base.
- Remove the shift forks (3, 4).NOTE: Shift the synchronizer sleeves to gain space for removal.
- Input Shaft (1) »Remove
NOTE: Place the input shaft on clean base.
- Remove the upper main shaft (1) and the lower main shaft (2).
NOTE: Place the main shafts on clean base.
- Clean the lower main shaft (2) very accurate, clean the hollow shaft from the inside (arrow). Use a part cleaner (1) and compressed air.
NOTE: Remaining residue may lead to transmission failure.
