Component Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the B16 Backup Lamp Switch.
  2. Place the transmission in Reverse position.
  3. Test for less then 5 Ω between the signal terminal 1 and the ground terminal 2 at the B16 Backup Lamp Switch.
    • If 5 Ω or greater 

      Replace the B16 Backup Lamp Switch.

    • If less than 5 Ω 
  4. Place the transmission in the Neutral position.
  5. Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal 1 and the ground terminal 2 at the B16 Backup Lamp Switch.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the B16 Backup Lamp Switch.

    • If infinite resistance 
  6. All OK.
