Removal Procedure

Before performing the first steps, review the Emission Reduction Fluid and Emission Reduction Fluid Handling .
Remove the emission reduction fluid tank insulator - upper. Refer to Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Insulator Replacement - Upper .
Remove the emission reduction fluid supply pump module. Refer to Emission Reduction Fluid Supply Pump Module Replacement .
Drain the emission reduction fluid tank. Refer to Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Draining .
Remove the emission reduction fluid vent elbow (1) from emission reduction fluid tank reservoir (4).

NOTE: Gently pry up on elbow until it releases from the cover flange.
Loosen the emission reduction fluid tank pump module ring (1), using the CH-38879-B wrench.

Remove the emission reduction fluid tank pump module ring (1) from the emission reduction fluid tank thread (2).
Tilt the emission reduction fluid tank reservoir upper part (3) up, to reach the emission reduction fluid tank reservoir lower part.
The arrow shows to the location at which the emission reduction fluid tank lower part should be rotated for removal.

Turn the emission reduction fluid tank reservoir lower part at the location shown in the reservoir about 2 cm (0.787 in), in the arrow direction (2).

NOTE: The arrow (2) shows the removal direction for the emission reduction fluid tank reservoir part (1).
Remove the emission reduction fluid tank reservoir (1, 5).
Remove and DISCARD the emission reduction fluid tank pump module seal (3).
