Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE: If not referred to this test from another diagnostic, do not perform this procedure.
  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify that no DTCs are set except for DTC P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 or P0304
    • If no other DTCs are set 
  3. Start and run the engine until the coolant temperature is more than 82°C (180°F). Turn OFF all accessories.
  4. Using the scan tool, Verify the Fuel Injector Balance rates are between +10 mm3 and -10 mm3 in Park or Neutral.
    NOTE: Balance rates outside the range may indicate contaminated fuel.
    • If the balance rate is between +10 mm 3  and -10 mm 3 
  5. Perform the Cylinder Power Balance Test with a scan tool.
    NOTE:
    • The Cylinder Power Balance Test must be performed under the conditions for which the customer concern occurred.
    • Do not operate the cruise control during this test. Cruise control may cause a brief surge of engine speed after the completion of the test.
    • During cylinder cancellation a noticeable power difference will feel like a misfiring cylinder or vibration.
    • If a condition is found during the cylinder power balance test. 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If a condition is not found during the cylinder power balance test. 
  6. All OK.
