Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition On.
  2. Verify DTC P2080, P2084, P242B, P24D0 or U02A3 is not set
    • If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. Verify DTC P24C6 is not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Replace the B136 Exhaust Particulate Matter Sensor.

    • If the DTC does not set 
  4. Engine Off for 4 hours.
    NOTE: Open hood during 4 hour soak to dissipate heat from the EGT sensor 1.
  5. Ignition On, engine Off.
  6. Measure and record the scan tool Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1, 2 and 3 values.
  7. Engine running, verify the scan tool Start-Up Particulate Matter Sensor Temperature is within 50°C (90°F) of the previously recorded scan tool Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1, 2 and 3 values.
    • If not within 50°C (90°F) 

      Replace the B136 Exhaust Particulate Matter Sensor.

    • If within 50°C (90°F) 
  8. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  9. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Replace the B136 Exhaust Particulate Matter Sensor.

    • If the DTC does not set 
  10. All OK.
