Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, verify a click is heard or felt from the Q47 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bypass Solenoid Valve when commanding the EGR Cooler Bypass Valve ON and OFF with a scan tool.
    NOTE: It may be necessary to clear the DTCs to enable scan tool output control function.
    • If a click is not heard or felt 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If a click is heard or felt 
  2. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTCs. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  3. Verify a DTC does not set.
    • If a DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If a DTC does not set 
  4. All OK.
