Conditions for Setting the DTC

The ECM receives a serial data message of NOx concentration from NOx Sensor 1 and NOx Sensor 2. During the test phase, the delta NOx concentration at NOx sensor 2 is calculated. If the delta is less than 3 ppm, the diagnostic fails when the conditions are met for more than one event. The test phase begins during a tip-in acceleration event when the conditions for running the DTC are satisfied and completes in approximately 10 s.
