Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE: Reductant Heater parameters are in the GPCM data list.
  1. Ignition On.
  2. Verify DTC P205C, P20B9, P20BB, P20BC or P20C0 is not set.
    • If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. Verify the scan tool GPCM parameters listed below do not display Malfunction:
    • Reductant Heater 1, 2 or 3 Control Circuit High Voltage Test Status
    • Reductant Heater 1, 2 or 3 Control Circuit Open Test Status
    • Reductant Heater 1, 2 or 3 Control Circuit Low Voltage Test Status
      • If Malfunction is displayed 

        Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

      • If Malfunction is not displayed 
  4. Verify the scan tool GPCM parameters listed below are between 5-7 Amps for heater 1, 2.5-4.5 Amps for heater 2 and 1.5-3.5 Amps for heater 3 when commanding On and Off with a scan tool.
    • Reductant Heater 1 Current
    • Reductant Heater 2 Current
    • Reductant Heater 3 Current
    • If not within the specified range 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If within the specified range 
  5. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  6. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the DTC does not set 
  7. All OK.
