Component Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition Off, remove the affected B131 Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor while leaving the harness connector connected.
    NOTE: The J 25070  may be used to evaluate the sensor under high temperature conditions.
  2. Measure and record the resistance of the B131 Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor and compare the measurements to the Temperature Versus Resistance (EGT Sensors) , Temperature Versus Resistance (EGR Temperature Sensors) , Temperature Versus Resistance (Reductant Injector) , Temperature Versus Resistance (Reductant Tank Temperature Sensor) and Temperature Versus Resistance (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor) chart.
    • If not within the specified range 

      Replace the B131 Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor.

    • If within the specified range 
  3. All OK.
