Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition Off for greater than 8 hours.
  2. Ignition On.
  3. Verify the scan tool Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1-3 parameters are within 20°C (36°F) of the ambient air temperature and each other.
    NOTE: Determine the ambient air temperature by using an accurate thermometer. Testing should be performed on the sensor and its associated circuits, that has the greatest temperature deviation from ambient.
    • If not within the specified range 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If within the specified range 
  4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  5. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If the DTC does not set 
  6. All OK.
