Leak Test

  1. Verify air leaks do not exist by listening for excessive hissing sounds and using a pump spray bottle to apply a soapy water solution, while observing for excessive soapy bubbles at the locations listed below:
    • All air induction system hose clamps.
    • Air cleaner outlet duct.
    • Charge air cooler inlet and outlet hoses and ducts.
    • Charge air cooler.
    • Intake manifold gaskets and seals.
    • If an air leaks exists 

      Repair or replace the affected gasket, seal, clamp or component as necessary and repeat step 1.

    • If no air leaks exist
