Circuit/System Verification

  1. Allow the engine to cool until the catalyst temperature is less than 300°C (572°F) and the engine coolant is between -10°C (14°F) and 40°C (104°F).
  2. Engine idling for at least 2 min, observe the scan tool DTC information. DTC P1400 should not set.
  3. Operate the vehicle within the conditions for running the DTC to verify the DTC does not reset. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the freeze frame/failure records data.
