Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition Off and all vehicle systems Off. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down.
  2. Verify the scan tool Reductant Pressure is 0 kPa when turning the ignition On.
    • If greater than 0 kPa 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If 0 kPa 
  3. Command the Reductant Purge Valve On and Off with a scan tool. You should hear an audible click.
    • If no click is heard 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If a click is heard 
  4. Verify the Reductant Purge Solenoid Valve Control Circuit Status parameter does not display Malfunction when commanding the Reductant Purge Valve On and Off with a scan tool.
    • If Malfunction is displayed 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • If Malfunction is not displayed 
  5. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  6. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC does not set 
  7. All OK.
