Circuit/System Testing

- Inspect the wire harness on the reductant temperature sensor for damage.
- If damage is found
Replace the reductant temperature sensor.
- If no damage is found
- If damage is found
- Ignition Off and all vehicle systems Off, disconnect the harness connector at the reductant temperature sensor side of the B212 Reductant Sensor Module. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down.
- Verify the resistance of the reductant temperature sensor between the harness connector circuit terminal 2 and circuit terminal 3 is within the range specified in the Temperature Versus Resistance (EGT Sensors)
, Temperature Versus Resistance (EGR Temperature Sensors)
, Temperature Versus Resistance (Reductant Injector)
, Temperature Versus Resistance (Reductant Tank Temperature Sensor)
and Temperature Versus Resistance (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor)
table.NOTE: The reductant tank level must be at least 33% full and the reductant temperature must be greater than -5°C (23°F) to ensure accurate resistance readings.
- If not within the specified range
Replace the reductant temperature sensor.
- If within the specified range
- If not within the specified range
- Replace the B212 Reductant Sensor Module.
