Conditions for Setting the DTC

- The ECM detects the difference between the commanded variable swirl valve position and the actual measured variable swirl valve position is greater than 10 % or less than -10 % for greater than 5 s.
OR
- The ECM detects the time required for the variable swirl valve to reach the closed position is greater than 2 s when the valve has been commanded from closed to open and the valve open position is less than 33% during engine after-run.
OR
- The ECM detects the time required for the variable swirl valve to reach the open position is greater than 2 s when the valve has been commanded from open to closed and the valve open position is greater than 86% during engine after-run.
OR
- The ECM detects the variable swirl valve position sensor is not between 75-88% PWM when the valve is intrusively commanded to a value during engine after-run.
