Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition ON
- Verify that DTC P12B0, P12B1, P2008, P2009 or P2010 is not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- If none of the DTCs are set.
- If any of the DTCs are set
- Verify the Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve Feedback Signal changes between 30- 80 %, without spikes or dropouts, when commanding the Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve between 30-80% with a scan tool.
- If the signal does not change between 30- 80 % without spikes or dropouts

- If the signal changes between 30- 80 % without spikes or dropouts
- If the signal does not change between 30- 80 % without spikes or dropouts
- Verify the M98 Intake Manifold Runner Valve Actuator linkage extends fully when commanding the Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve between 0-100% with a scan tool.NOTE: It is normal for the linkage to extend fully at 10 % command and then retract at 20 % command. The linkage should extend and retract normally at commands greater than 20%.
- If the linkage does not extend fully

- If the linkage extends fully
- If the linkage does not extend fully
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
