Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Review the freeze frame data and compare to the conditions to set this DTC.
    NOTE:
    • You must perform the Circuit/System Verification before proceeding with Circuit/System Testing.
    • If fuel pressure was not low when DTC set
  2. Engine at idle, command the fuel pressure incrementally through the entire fuel pressure range with a scan tool. The Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor and the Desired Fuel Rail Pressure should be within 690 kPa (100 psi) for the entire fuel pressure range.
NOTE: When commanding fuel rail pressure at idle the maximum achievable pressure will be approximately 60 MPa (8702 psi).
    • If the fuel rail pressure sensor and desired fuel rail pressure is not within 690 kPa (100 psi) for the entire fuel pressure range

Refer to Fuel Pressure Regulator Diagnosis .

    • If the fuel rail pressure sensor and desired fuel rail pressure is within 690 kPa (100 psi) for the entire fuel pressure range
  3. All OK.
