Conditions for Setting the DTC
P11DB and P11DC
- The feedback fault diagnosis of the downstream NOx sensor is monitored from the NOx sensor signal validity status, which is received via CAN (Controller Area Network). If the ratio of invalid to total time (valid + invalid) count is greater than or equal to a calibrated threshold for a calibrated number of fault occurrences, then a fault will be set.
- The ECM receives a serial data message from the NOx Sensor Module that the NOx sensor offset is not within to a calibrated threshold for more than 2 events.
P2200 or P229E
The ECM receives a NOx sensor module serial data message indicating an open or short circuit for greater than 13 s.
P2202 or P22A0
The ECM receives NOx sensor module serial data message indicating a NOx concentration is less than -90 ppm for greater than 10 s.
P2203 or P22A1
The ECM receives NOx sensor module serial data message indicating a NOx concentration is greater than 1500 ppm for greater than 10 s.
DTC P2205 or P22A3
The ECM receives a NOx sensor module serial data message indicating an open or shorted heater control circuit for greater than 13 s.
DTC P2209 or P22A7
The ECM receives NOx sensor module serial data message indicating that the NOx Sensor element heater has not reached operating temperature within 3 minutes and the fault exists for more than one event.
P220A or P220B
The ECM receives a serial data message from the GPCM indicating an internal controller circuit fault for greater than 3 s.
