Action Taken When the DTC Sets

DTCs P1043, P1044 and P208D are Type BDTCs.
DTC P208A is a Type A DTC.
The ECM inhibits the reductant system when DTC P1043, P208A or P208D is set.
Service Emission System message is displayed on the driver information center (DIC).
The ECM commands the engine to operate in Reduced Engine Power mode.
The driver information center may display the Engine Power Is Reduced message.
