Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify DTC P0401, P0402, P0403, P0405, P0406 or P06A3 is not set
    • If none of the DTCs are set 
  3. Verify the scan tool EGR Position Sensor parameter is within 5% of the Desired EGR Position parameter and changes when commanding the EGR Valve between 0-40%
    • If not within 5% or does not change 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If within 5% and changes 
  4. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTCs. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
  5. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing

    • If the DTC does not set 
  6. All OK.
