Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, remove the Q14 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Replacement
  2. Verify the conditions listed below do not exist:
    • A sticking, binding or frozen EGR valve
    • Any coking, soot build up, debris or damage that can cause the EGR valve to stick partially open or closed
      • If a condition exists 

        Repair or replace the component as necessary.

      • If none of the conditions exist 
  3. Test or replace the Q14 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve.
