Component Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the B130A Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor 1.
  2. Verify the resistance between the signal circuit terminal 1 and the low reference circuit terminal 2 is within the range specified in the Temperature Versus Resistance (EGT Sensors) , Temperature Versus Resistance (EGR Temperature Sensors) , Temperature Versus Resistance (Reductant Injector) , Temperature Versus Resistance (Reductant Tank Temperature Sensor) and Temperature Versus Resistance (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor) Table.
NOTE: The J 25070  may be used to evaluate the sensor under high temperature conditions.
    • If not within the range specified

Replace the B130A Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor 1.

    • If within the range specified
  3. Test for infinite resistance between each terminal and the sensor housing/case.
    • If less than infinite resistance

Replace the B130A Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor 1.

    • If infinite resistance
  4. All OK
