Component Testing

Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the B130A Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor 1.
Verify the resistance between the signal circuit terminal 1 and the low reference circuit terminal 2 is within the range specified in the Temperature Versus Resistance (EGT Sensors) , Temperature Versus Resistance (EGR Temperature Sensors) , Temperature Versus Resistance (Reductant Injector) , Temperature Versus Resistance (Reductant Tank Temperature Sensor) and Temperature Versus Resistance (Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor) Table.
NOTE: The J 25070 may be used to evaluate the sensor under high temperature conditions.
- If not within the range specified
  Replace the B130A Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor 1.
- If within the range specified
Test for infinite resistance between each terminal and the sensor housing/case.
- If less than infinite resistance
  Replace the B130A Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor 1.
- If infinite resistance
All OK
