Circuit/System Verification

NOTE: The ignition must be OFF for at least 8 hours prior to starting this procedure.

Ignition ON.
Verify DTC P040C, P040D, P041C or P041D is not set
- If any of the DTCs are set
  Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- If none of the DTCs are set
Verify the scan tool EGR Cooler Temperature Sensor 1, EGR Cooler Temperature Sensor 2 and ECT Sensor parameters are within 20°C (36°F).
- If not within 20°C (36°F)
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If within 20°C (36°F)
Engine running for at least 10 minutes
Verify the scan tool EGR Cooler Temperature Sensor 1 and EGR Cooler Temperature Sensor 2 difference is between 20-100°C (36-180°F).
- If not between 20-100°C (36-180°F)
  Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If between 20-100°C (36-180°F)
All OK.
