Conditions for Running the DTC

P0335 Condition 1

• DTCs P0016, P0102, P01CB, P01CC, P01CD, P01CE, P01CF, P01D0, P01D1, P01D2, P0315, P0506 or P0507 are not set.
• Ignition is ON.
• Engine backward rotation is not detected.
• The starter is engaged.
• Vehicle speed is 0 MPH.

Condition 2

• DTCs P0016, P0102, P01CB, P01CC, P01CD, P01CE, P01CF, P01D0, P01D1, P01D2, P0315, P0506 or P0507 are not set.
• Ignition is ON.
• Engine backward rotation is not detected.
• Engine speed is greater than 550 RPM.
• Crankshaft to camshaft synchronization is complete.
• Engine speed is greater than 200 RPM and vehicle speed is greater than 16 MPH.

P0336

• DTCs P0016, P0102, P01CB, P01CC, P01CD, P01CE, P01CF, P01D0, P01D1, P01D2, P0315, P0506 or P0507 are not set.
• Engine speed is greater than 200 RPM.
• ECM does not detect crankshaft position sensor pulses.

The DTCs run continuously once the above conditions are met.
