Post Drive Mode Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition OFF.
- Open a fuel injector high pressure fuel line.
- Ignition ON.
- Verify the scan tool Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Voltage parameter is between 0.42 and 0.61 V.
- If less than 0.42 V
Test the B47B Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Signal circuit terminal 2 and the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor 5 Volt Reference circuit terminal 3 for high resistance. If the circuits tests normal, replace the B47B Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor.
- If greater than 0.61 V
Test B47B Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Low Reference circuit terminal 1 for high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the B47B Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor.
- If between 0.42 and 0.61 V
- If less than 0.42 V
- Install the fuel injector high pressure line.
- Engine running for 2 minutes.
- Ignition OFF, wait 30 s.NOTE: Contaminated fuel could cause Q18B Fuel Pressure Regulator 2 to hold rail pressure during key OFF.
- Verify the scan tool Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Voltage parameter is less than 0.61 V.
- If greater than 0.61 V
Replace the Q18B Fuel Pressure Regulator 2.
- If less than 0.61 V
- If greater than 0.61 V
- Refer to Diagnostic Aids .
