Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition ON
- Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Verify no other DTCs are set.
- If a DTC is set
Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle for further diagnosis.
- If a DTC is not set .
- If a DTC is set
- Verify the scan tool MAF Sensor parameter is between 5 and 40 g/s.
- If less than 5 g/s
Check for intake system leaks.
If no intake system leaks are found, perform a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Service Regeneration .
- If greater than 40 g/s
Check for intake system leaks.
- If between 5 and 40 g/s
- If less than 5 g/s
- Verify there are no exhaust system leaks. Refer to Exhaust Leakage
.
- If exhaust system leaks were found
Repair as necessary.
- If no exhaust system leaks were found
- If exhaust system leaks were found
- Engine idling at operating temperature and in drive.NOTE: A/C must be in the off position
- Verify using the scan tool that the Base Fuel Injector Rate parameter is between 5 mm3
and 16 mm3
.
- If not between 5 mm 3 and 16 mm 3
- If between 5 mm 3 and 16 mm 3
- Replace the B52A Heated Oxygen Sensor 1.
