Conditions for Setting the DTC

P0045 

The ECM detects an open circuit of the control circuit.

OR

The ECM detects that the commanded state of the driver and the actual state of the control circuit do not match and the Integrated Circuit (IC) maximum temperature has been exceeded.

P0047 

The ECM detects a short to ground on the control circuit.

P0048 

The ECM detects a short to voltage on the control circuit.
