The following conditions can set the DTC:
- Inspect the engine for any recent engine mechanical repairs. An incorrectly installed camshaft, camshaft position sensor, crankshaft position sensor or timing belt can cause this DTC to set.
- Crankshaft end play out of specification.
- A crankshaft reluctor wheel that may have moved in relationship to top dead center (TDC).
