Conditions for Setting the DTC

The ECM detects a temperature difference at power-up that indicates that the ECT sensor is 30°C (86°F) warmer than the IAT sensor.
OR
The ECM detects a temperature difference at power-up that indicates that the ECT sensor is 20°C (68°F) warmer than the IAT sensor and NO engine block heater was detected.
OR
The ECM detects a temperature difference at power-up that indicates that the ECT sensor is 20°C (68°F) warmer than the IAT sensor, the engine cranked for greater than 10 s without starting and NO engine block heater was detected.
