Line Pressure Check: Check

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
WARNING: Keep the brakes applied at all times in order to prevent unexpected vehicle motion. Personal injury may result if the vehicle moves unexpectedly.
NOTE: Due to the risk of overheating, checking at full load must not take longer than 5 seconds. Add a pause for cooling down. The oil level in the transmission must be correct.
  1. Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove front compartment insulator. Refer to Front Compartment Insulator Replacement .
  4. Remove battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  5. Remove the upper case plug (1).

  6. Install DT-6329  adapter to case hole.
  7. Install EN-498-B  equipment to adapter.
  8. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  9. Connect the scan tool and check the oil temperature.
    NOTE: The oil temperature must be between 50°C (122°F) and 80°C (176°F).
  10. Check the oil pressure in selector lever position "D".
    • Start the engine.
    • Move the selector lever to position "D".
    • Check the oil pressure at idling speed and at full load - air conditioning and lighting disengaged.
      • Desired value idling speed (foot brake not applied): 370-410 kPa (53.6-59.5 psi).
      • Desired value full load: 1350-1460 kPa (195.8-211.7 psi).
    • Switch off the engine after the check.
  11. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  12. Remove EN-498-B  equipment from adapter.
  13. Remove DT-6329  adapter from case hole.
  14. Install the upper case hole plug (1) with a NEW sealing ring and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  15. Raise the vehicle.
  16. Loosen electronic control module (ECM) wiring harness bracket from transmission. Remove bolt.
  17. Remove the lower case plug (1).

  18. Install DT-6329  adapter to case hole.
  19. Install EN-498-B  equipment to adapter.
  20. Lower the vehicle.
  21. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  22. Connect the scan tool and check the oil temperature.
    NOTE: The oil temperature must be between 50°C (122°F) and 80°C (176°F).
  23. Check the oil pressure in selector lever position "R".
    • Start the engine.
    • Move the selector lever to position "R".
    • Check the oil pressure at idling speed and at full load - air conditioning and lighting disengaged.
      • Desired value idling speed (foot brake not applied): 570-660 kPa (82.7-95.7 psi).
      • Desired value full load: 190-213 kPa (27.5-30.9 psi).
    • Switch off the engine after the check.
  24. Raise the vehicle.
  25. Remove EN-498-B  equipment from adapter.
  26. Remove DT-6329  adapter from case hole.
  27. Install the lower plug (1) with a NEW sealing ring and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
  28. Lower the vehicle.
  29. Remove the scan tool.
